Andreas Pfrunder takes over as CEO of Trafag

Bubikon, Switzerland – Trafag, a global leader in the precise measurement and reliable monitoring of pressure, temperature and gas density, announces that Andreas Pfrunder has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 August 2026. He succeeds Dieter Zeisel, who has retired from operational management and joined the Board of Directors. The leadership transition marks an important step in the long-term development of the independent, family-owned Swiss company.

 

With the appointment of Andreas Pfrunder, the next generation assumes responsibility for the operational management of Trafag. This transition forms part of the company's long-term ownership strategy and ensures continuity in its values, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Andreas Pfrunder has served on Trafag's Board of Directors since 2019 and joined the Executive Committee in 2025, most recently leading Key Account Management and Business Development. Before joining Trafag, he co-founded Sevensense Robotics, an ETH Zurich spin-off specializing in autonomous mobile robotics, which was acquired by ABB Robotics in 2023. He holds an MSc in Robotics from ETH Zurich and an MBA from INSEAD. As a member of the owning family, his appointment also reflects Trafag's long-term commitment to independent family ownership and continuity.
