The only international event in India for the railroads and related sectors is the International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE), organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. To demonstrate their capabilities and future requirements, Indian railroads participate in IREE on a large scale. The IREE attracts about 20 nations.

The CII works closely with the Railway Transport Equipment Division (RTED) of the Ministry of Railways.
