Valve options
For easy and safe handling
The Trafag density monitors have a modular design and can be supplemented with integrated and therefore very space-saving valve options.
A gas-insulated switchgear system should have as few mechanical interfaces as possible to minimize the risk of gas leaks.
Filling the system with the insulating gas and a required gas quality analysis requires dedicated process connections, which mean additional space and costs. The filling valve integrated in the density monitor provides this highly efficiently and compactly and reduces the number of process connections.
In addition, legal greenhouse gas regulations require the regular checking of the correct functionality of the density monitors. The integrated test valve can be used to check the density monitors while they are installed, which saves an enormous amount of time and reduces the number of interruptions to documentation for routine maintenance.
Integrated density monitor test valve
Greenhouse regulations require regular verifications of the used equipment. The test valve allows in-situ microswitch point or sensor checkings without dismounting the monitor from the pressure compartment. Test equipment is connected via a standardised DN8 port during normal operation under nominal system pressure.

Integrated process gas test and re-fill valve
The test and re-fill valve offers two essential functionalities. Firstly, it provides the capability to analyze in-situ the gas quality of the pressure compartment. On the other hand, it is a re-filling valve that allows direct insulating gas replenishment of the pressure compartment. Test or re-fill equipment is connected via a standardised DN8 port during normal operation under nominal system pressure.
