Trafag temperature measurement equipment is made up of two separate groups, thermostats and temperature transmitters.
In the thermostat, a liquid enclosed in a sensor expands on exposure to heat and induces a bellows system. This in turn actuates a micro switch via a high-precision mechanism. The switch closes or opens a signal loop. Thermostats do not require any electrical energy supply. Thermostats from Trafag enjoy an outstanding reputation. Being fully maintenance-free, they can be in nonstop use for several decades without any loss of accuracy.
Temperature transmitters are fitted with either Pt100 or Pt1000 sensors. Their change in resistance relative to temperature is transformed into an electric output signal or used to control relay contacts.
The catalogue Standard Products 2012 informs about already configured, immediately available pressure switches, pressure transmitters and thermostats. Further information about other possible product configurations are available via hyperlinks leading to the respective data sheets.
